Joining Girls Inc. Marketing Committee

Back when I was living in London, I’ve always been involved in non-profit organizations. From women’s rights to diplomacy education, non-profit work has been a rich part of my DNA. So, when I moved to Massachusetts, I had my eye on similar opportunities. For a while, nothing caught my eye as strongly as some of the organizations I supported or worked for in the past…until I attended the annual gala for Girls Inc. Then, I became all FIRED UP!

I love to see young girls exceed. When I was growing up, I was always told “No” to opportunities or “You can’t because you’re a girl” or “Girls are weak”. I don’t accept any of that! And as a diplomatic consultant working closely with government officials, do you think NO stopped me?

So when I was invited to join Girls Inc as part of the Marketing Committee, I HAD to say YES to that opportunity so that I could mark my experience on to this amazing organization, and hopefully open the eyes on some of these girls wanting to change the world through their future careers.

A little about Girls Inc and why I decided to join forces with this amazing organization right here in the Pioneer Valley.

Pioneering Empowerment with Girls Inc.

At the heart of Girls Inc. lies a powerful mission – to inspire every girl to be strong, smart, and bold. Amazingly, the organization was founded all the way back in 1864 and it clearly stood the test of time. As time shifts, Girls Inc. also evolved in how they address the unique challenges that young women face today - and there is always a new list of things to do.

With an impressive network spanning more than 1,500 sites across 350 cities in the United States and Canada, Girls Inc. creates a nurturing environment for girls aged 5 to 18. Through mentorship, education, and a pro-girl approach, Girls Inc. empowers girls to embrace their own potential, confidently charting their path through life's labyrinth. And I got to see the power of mentorship on these girls first-hand at their gala event.
